Lotus and Pearl utilizes two printing methods: Screen Printing (aka Silk Screening) and Digital Printing.
If you're not too sure of what screen printing is, you probably know more than you think. If you have a tee shirt with a logo or design on it, chances are it’s been screen printed. Screen printing is way more than just your favorite sports team’s machine-printed tee, it’s also Any Warhol’s ultra-famous Marilyn Monroe prints, limited edition rock show posters, mini-comics, crafts and more.
Screen printing looks great on paper, and with Lotus and Pearl it’s completely hand printed. You can do really fun things with screen printing: black gloss on black paper, printing on wood veneer, metallic inks, transparent colors, interesting papers...the list goes on.
Digital printing is provided for certain projects. If you want to use a full-color photo of your baby announcement then digital printing is the right choice. If you want to have a whimsical watercolor painting for your child’s party or a painted portrait instead of a photo for your wedding “thank you”s, then digital printing is the solution. Other items that may be digitally printed include address labels and directions/maps.
